HomeGlossary Itemauntie

auntie

November 21, 2015February 12, 2016 rkanigel 4337 views

In many cultures, this is a term of respect, not necessarily family relationship. An Arab American, for example, might call an older Arab female or male “auntie” (“amty”) or “uncle” (“ammo”).

See aunt, uncle.
